All In….

Well The denizens of the Vicarage are all in, in more than one way. My sister Brenda has come down with some symptoms that resemble Covid-19 so on the advisement of the leadership above us she is getting tested and we are quarantining.

Today was a busy day getting all the bases covered at church since we will be viewing from home rather than leading from the stage. Fortunately Pastor Dan’s test came back so he is able to preach in the morning…. Here is today’s video and the other way that the denizens of The Vicarage are all in.

The Home Photo Challenge was fun for me last year. Since I do not think much is going to be changing for me in the way of travel this year, I am going to continue the challenge for myself into 2021. The Discovery Of Gifts

On this, day 5 of our 21 days of fasting and prayer we are praying into the discovery of our God given gifts.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR GOD GIVEN GIFTS.

  1. THEY HAVE MNORE TO DO WITH YOUR PERSONALITY THAN YOUR TALENTS.
  2. THEY ARE YOUR MOTIVATIONS FROM WHICH YOU UNDERSTAND AND INTERACT WITH THE WORLD.
  3. YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GIFT BY GOD WHETHER YOU BELIVE IN HIM OR NOT.
  4. YOU USE THAT GIFT EVERYDAY WHETHER YOU BELIVE IN HIM OR NOT.
  5. USING YOUR GIFT IN FAITH CAUSES THE GIFT TO COME TO ITS MOST POWERFUL MANIFESTATION.

Reaching

Yesterday was a very busy DLT day. If you don’t know what a DLT day is you can discover it by clicking HERE.

Our church has entered day 4 of it season of fasting and prayer. God has given us a very concrete direction for prayer. This week we are focusing on:

DAY 1- KNOWING JESUS AND MAKING HIM KNOWN

DAY 2- DOING LIFE TOGETHER

DAY 3- REACHING THE LOST

DAY 4- SENDING THE FOUND

DAY 5- DISCOVERING OUR GIFTS

DAY 6- CHANGING THE WORLD

Here is yesterday’s video post on Reaching the Lost.

What the Lord has shown us is that Reaching the lost in our community is going to be done through Doing Life Together with people who have not yet made a connection with Jesus. That is: breaking bread together, sharing Scripture with, praying with, and mutually meeting needs with folks who have not yet made a decision to trust Jesus Christ as God.
