2021 Home Photo Challenge 1-23-21

The Home Photo Challenge was fun for me last year. Since I do not think much is going to be changing for me in the way of travel this year, I am going to continue the challenge for myself into 2021. This year I am going to add a little twist. I will give a brief description of each photo I take and write a Haiku to go along with it.

The gutters at the vicarage leak at several points and these little puddles gather around the corners of the building. As ice melts the dripping becomes almost constant around the edges of the house.

This photo is a throwback to the fall, but I am feeling the need for photos that speak of warmer days. While I can’t seem to get milkweed to grow at the Vicarage the property behind the house has it so we always get a few monarch flying through in the fall.

Gossamer moments,

Fluttering wings pass me by

Ephemeral time.

Yesterday’s Daily: Day 10 of 21 Days of Fasting And Prayer

Well yesterday was day 10 of Cornerstone’s 21 Days of fasting and prayer in 2021. This is a yearly spiritual journey the people of Cornerstone have taken together to seek out God’s plan and guidance for the year ahead as well as to pray in His provision for said plan.

Yesterday was a horrible fasting day for me. My sister Brenda was taken by ambulance to the hospital to treat symptoms of what turned out to be Covid. Fortunately she responded to the treatment and was not required to stay. That said, in the busyness of the day, I fell off the fasting wagon and I only got 25 minutes of praying in total for the day. For me that is almost like not praying at all.

But God’s mercies are new every morning and so today I pick up where I left off and continue on in the journey. I have had several words from God during this season which I do not feel free to share yet. So they are going in my little black book where they will remain until I feel like the time is right to share them.
