Well it looks like I am getting an early start this week! Go me! This week as I SHARE MY WORLD , I am also getting ready for a visit from sister who lives in the Netherlands. That means today I have to pick up groceries, finish vaccuuming the guest room and the work room, do a bunch of filing and put away all the clothes I washed at the laundromat last Friday (which are currently piled in the work room). But before I do all that here are my answers to Cee’s sharing question.

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

The Quiet Life Of a Country Pastor:  A Fictional True Story

Which do you prefer sweet, salty or buttery?

I like sweet mixed with salty butter. Candy in popcorn is yummy!

What’s the finest education?

Experience

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I was pretty discouraged this morning. So I decided to go and hide at the church for a little while to collect my thoughts. Then I spoke with my sister and the office staff at church and I am beginning to feel a little better. Doing life together with others has encouraged me.

Morning Direction From Scripture 7-9-18

Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them,
35 for God will save Zion
and rebuild the cities of Judah.
Then people will settle there and possess it;
36     the children of his servants will inherit it,
and those who love his name will dwell there. Psalm 69:34-36

Who do you suppose are “the people who love his name”?

Why do you suppose God considers Zion so important?

Well it is Independence Week here in America and so schedules have been a little messed up. It may be the end of the week but there is still time for me TO SHARE MY WORLD.

Share Your World is the challenge where our hostess, Cee, asks several questions and we, her contributors, share our answers and share our worlds. Get it?

Well Cee’s questions and my answers are below. You can read those and then pop over to Cee’s blog using the underlined link and open yourself up to a world of sharing.

Tell us about your first bicycle or car?

My first bicycle was blue and it had those red and blue streamers in the handle bars and an orange warning flag for when I pedaled down the road. I wasn’t allowed to go out of sight of the house until I was in first grade so I am not sure what the orange flag was all about.

My first car was also blue. It was a Delta 78. It was so big I could lay out straight in the back seat for naps between classes at college. The power windows didn’t work and would fall down intermittently during drives and one of the door panels was loose and would just fall off sometimes when I opened the drivers door. Still I loved that car.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

I would love to visit Middle Earth. Specifically the house of Elrond in Rivendell.

If you could have someone follow you around all the time, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?

I would have them do all the administration for my job. I would have them do all my paperwork and keep my bills and tell me how much I could spend. I haaaaate all that stuff.

I am just days away now from being a grandfather!

Morning Direction From Scripture 7-6-18

I will praise God’s name in song
    and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people. Psalm 69:30-33

At what moments in life do you feel most needy or captive?
