This week Cee has challenged to bring Black & White to life in a big way by showing photographs of large subjects.

Now, I thought to myself when I saw the topic, “What could be larger than the Giant’s Causeway?”
According to legend the causeway was built by the giant Finn MacCool as a road to Scotland so he could fight the giant Benandonner there. The story tells us that Finn went to Scotland but when he saw how big Benandonner was he fled back to Ireland only to be followed by his Scottish enemy.
Finn knowing he was outmatched implored his wife Oona for help. Oona helped Finn by dressing him as a baby and sticking him in a cradle. When Benandonner arrived, the story goes, Oona explained that the “baby” in the cradle was actually Finn’s son rather than Finn himself. Now giant’s are not known for their intelligence, and so it would seem Benandonner was outwitted by Oona; So the great Scottish giant returned home destroying the bridge behind him, assured that if he was nearly outsized by Finn’s baby he would never be a match for the giant himself.
This is called the Giant’s pipe organ. It is said that on a windy night you can still sometimes hear Finn playing a tune for his dear wife Oona. And who would not play a tune for such an obviously intelligent woman?
I am writing this post in response to Cee’s Black & White Challenge on the subject of “Ground”.

This week Cee has asked us to come up with Geometric Shapes for her black & white photo challenge. Click the underlined words to see how others met the challenge.
I have learned a few things from shapes about life.
For instance in life round is a pretty common shape!
While we would all like it to be a little more linear, the older we get the more we realize, this thing called life just doesn’t fit in a box.
Truth be told, the more we insist on controlling the shape of every detail in our lives, the more complicated our lives become.
Sometimes those things in our lives which appear to be the weakest offer us the most support through the troubled waters.
And, if you wait long enough and keep taking the bends in the road, eventually life does come full circle.
Cee has challenged us with all things musical this week
Here are my thoughts on the topic

This week Cee has asked us to bring photographers and their cameras into the black & white world. You can see how many photographers were captured at

Here are my black& white captures.

This week Cee has challenged us to display blacks and whites of bits of plastics. Not to hard since much of our world is made of plastic these days. I thought of taking a photo of a container of Cool Whip. I just love my edible plastics. Instead I went for plastic things displayed at our town’s Fall Fest.

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Things Made Out of Plastic
Here is what I came up with:
Just about everything in this picture is plastic except the trees, the grass, and the woman.
This plastic choo! choo! is treated with an Infrared filter but I thought it was cooler than the B&W filter.
This week Cee has challenged us to pull up a seat at the table and show her: TABLES AND CHAIRS
