Mid Afternoon Meditation 3-6-18

Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel.
Because for Your sake I have borne reproach;
Shame has covered my face.
I have become a stranger to my brothers,
And an alien to my mother’s children;
Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up,
And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me. Psalm 69:6-9

Talk to me about the method you use to “seek” God.

I am worn out calling for help;
    my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
    looking for my God.
Those who hate me without reason
    outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
    those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
    what I did not steal. Psalm 69:3,4

Describe what part you think you have in restoring the things that get broken in life.

My eyes fail,
    looking for my God.
Those who hate me without reason

many are my enemies without cause,
    those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
    what I did not steal. Psalm 69:3,4

What is God restoring around you right now?

It has been a while since I managed to put together a meditation for my readers. Life has kept me away from this end of the ministry for a bit, but today, as I was working my way through a portion of my study,   I just felt such an urge to move back into a meditational writing; So here is today’s meditation.

I am worn out calling for help;
    my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
    looking for my God.
Those who hate me without reason
    outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
    those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
    what I did not steal. Psalm 69:3,4

Where do you think God stand when we see ourselves being treated unjustly?

See you tomorrow!

Morning Direction from Scripture 1-29-18

Concord 1

I am worn out calling for help;
    my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
    looking for my God.
Those who hate me without reason
    outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
    those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
    what I did not steal. Psalm 69:3,4

Are enemies blocking your view of God right now? Spend some time praying for them.

What are some of the things that are hard to understand right now in your relationship with God? What could you do to gain better understanding?

Evening Meditation 9-26-17

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered;
    may his foes flee before him.
May you blow them away like smoke—
    as wax melts before the fire,
    may the wicked perish before God.
But may the righteous be glad
    and rejoice before God;
    may they be happy and joyful. Psalm 68:1-3

What do you think your life will look like when He arises around it?

Morning Direction from Scripture 9-7-17

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
    Sing the glory of his name;
    make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
    they sing praise to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.” Psalm 66:1-4

How do you make praise glorious? Is there such a thing as inglorious praise?
