Morning Direction From Scripture 6-26-18

100_1904

I will praise God’s name in song
    and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people. Psalm 69:30-33

How does the act of being thankful glorify God?

Share Your World June 25, 2018

I came into the office for a bit today to get a jump on a few things for the week. So I thought I might also get a jump on SHARIN’ MY WORLD.

Here are this week’s Sharing questions from Cee and and my answers. You can find loads of other answers by going to Cee’s site at the underlined link above.

If aliens landed on earth tomorrow and offered to take you home with them, would you go? (remember this is SYW, they are friendly aliens)

Of course. I like to travel.

How tall are you? Are you satisfied with your height?

I am 5 foot 8 inches and most of the time I am satisfied with that. I mean, what choice do I have really?

Do you think you could live without your smartphone (or other technology item) for 24 hours?

Sure. Although, not going on Facebook or WordPress might be a bit of challenge, it’s hardly to be considered on the same level as going without coffee for 24 hours.

🙂

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This idea came to me in prayer this week.

Mostly, we do not need to know what is going to happen. We only need to know what we will do no matter what happens

Friday Fictioneers: No Room

It is time once again for FRIDAY FICTIONEERS, the challenge where 100 authors write 100 stories of 100 words apiece all about 1 photo.

Here is the week’s photo prompt:

No Room

by JE Lillie

There are the wise and then there are those who know the future. I know the future. I wish I was wise. Delusion at least comes with a dose of hope.

The future told me there was going to be trouble. I didn’t say anything because the future doesn’t flutter. It sits and waits.

As our boat entered the canal, the captain of the other boat screamed, “Stop you fool! There’s no room!”

Metal grated on metal. Our boat sank.  Three died that day because of the door I had barred when the future told me I should.
