Color Your World Sky Blue

I am maintaining my pace with the challenge! In case you hadn’t guessed I am pretty proud of this. One of the things I have really struggled with over the last year was consistency in posting. It is getting better!

Today I am coloring the world SKY BLUE. You can click the underlined link to see lots of sky blue but here are my matches for the shade.

Color Your World Shocking Pink

As I once again try to catch up with the color challenge I am actually wondering whether or not I will find anything SHOCKING PINK in my archives.

Here is the shade and my attempts at matching it. Let’s see how well I can do

OK so maybe shocking pink wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. You can find other “pinkertons” by clicking the underlined link above.

One Word Photo Challenge: Bokeh

This week Jennifer has given us one word to emulate and that word is BOKEH.

According to my words search here is the definition of Bokeh

bo·keh
bōˈkā/
noun

PHOTOGRAPHY
  1. the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens.
“a quick, visual survey of the foreground and background bokeh of a variety of lenses”

What do you know I learned a new word today!

Check out the underlined link for more “BOKEH” pictures.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge Or Life On the Freeway

Cee has asked us to go out onto THE HIGHWAYS OF LIFE and show her the pictures we brought back from there.

I have to admit I am a country mouse and not a big fan of the free way. That said I have been on a few of them.

Big Weekend In the Little Town

It’s not like they aren’t all big but this is going to be another big weekend in this little town. On Saturday I have the honor of performing the marriage ceremony for my cousin Naida and her fiance Ray. Performing weddings makes me nervous. I have never figured that one out exactly. I have sung in front of a thousand people and barely batted an eye. I regularly perform funerals and they don’t bother me, but weddings cause me to break out in a cold sweat!

Naida has also asked me to sing for the lighting of the unity candle. I have chosen “There Is Love” By Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary fame. I haven’t performed this one in many years as I have mostly officiated the weddings I have attended . As I practiced this morning I realized I was going to need to change the key in order to accomodate the settling of my voice over the years…sad.
