A Photo A Week Challenge: Extended Family

Well it has been a while since I have been to a family reunion. I guess I think of my church as my extended family. I am related to lots of folks in the church where I work and to all of them by like-minded faith.

Here is my extended church family at a recent missions dinner.

It was a great night. Teen Challenge came from Brockton and served the dinner and ministered to us in testimony and song.

Hey while you are at it check out other extended family photos at  A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE!

One Word Photo Challenge: Armadillos Float!

This week the one word we have to depict is ARMADILLO.

Hey now! I live in Massachusetts the closest armadillo to me is…well really far away! I was sure I wouldn’t be able to come up with anything and then I spent some time looking through the characteristics of armadillos.

DID YOU KNOW THAT ARMADILLOS DO NOT SWIM? THEY FLOAT!!!

JUST LIKE THESE FOLKS…

AND IF YOU TAKE ONE LETTER OUT OF ARMADILLO AND SPIN SOME OF THE LETTERS AROUND IT BECOMES AMARILLO WHICH EVERYONE KNOWS IS THE ARMADILLOS FAVORITE COLOR, YELLOW! 🙂

Okay if that is too much of a stretch for you can check out better armadillo photos by clicking the underlined link at the top of the page. 😉

Travel Theme: Self

This week Ailsa has suggested that we show a little bit of our SELF through our travels.

I can do that.  My selfies are below but you can find other Self portraits by clicking the underlined link above.

Cee’s B & W: Things That Fly

This week Cee has challenged us to show her anything that flies in Black & White.

You can see how others took up this challenge by clicking the underlined link.

I am not overly good at capturing things in motion so I had to be a little creative with this one. These are all things that could fly if they were real.

This is the Zaandam version of the Liva birds… I think.

O.K. So I really do believe in angels but honestly I think they are much bigger and most times a little scarier than this.

The Daily Post: Trio

This post is in response to The Daily Post’s Challenge: TRIO

Here are some things that come in threes:

Mercedes’ litter: Bandit, Fred and Snug

Three lamps to light the way.

I had thought of the greatest Three of all, but getting the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all in one photo turns out to be a little difficult for this photographer.

One Word Photo Challenge: Ant

So this week we have been asked to depict the word ANT by Jennifer at O.W.P.C.

You can see how others portrayed the concept by clicking the underlined link above.

I came at it from two directions:

First is our common perspective.

Here I am looking at all the little ants below….
