WPC: Temporary

This week the Daily Post has asked us to depict the theme TEMPORARY.

I feel like I could post just about any picture in my archive and say, “This is temporary.” We live in a temporary world. Even the oldest things among us: the trees, the rivers, the mountains are only temporary things. They all have their day and then are gone.

All things are bound by time in this world. Isaiah said it this way,

“All people are like grass,

and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.

7The grass withers and the flowers fall,

because the breath of the Lord blows on them.

Surely the people are grass.

8The grass withers and the flowers fall,

but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8

Everything in this world is temporary…but there is a place that is forever. That is what I am shooting for. In doing so I am obeying the command of Jesus.

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Matthew 6:19-21

Share Your World Oct. 23, 2017

Well it may be the 27th today but I am still catching up from my week away at the pastor’s conference. So I am a little behind in Sharin’ Mah World.

If it’s not too late for me, it’s not too late for you either. So click the link above and go share your world.

Here are this week’s questions and my answers:

Was school easy or difficult for you? How so?

School itself was easy for me. I loved learning and I was good at it. My brain wrapped itself around knowledge like a hungry python wraps around its prey. that said I was not popular. Socially I was an outcast and there were times when that was difficult.

List some of your favorite types of animals.

I love little dogs

What is your favorite large city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?

I really do like Amsterdam. I love the Palace Square and the area around it. I also love the Museum Plein
