It is so Appropos that this week’s WPC is RISE and SET. While The Daily Post is asking for shots of sunrise and sunset, I think the fact that the post is set on the weekend of the greatest rising of all is just wonderful!
Here are some of my sunrises and sunsets:

No matter how devastating our struggles, disappointments, and troubles are, they are only temporary. No matter what happens to you, no matter the depth of tragedy or pain you face, no matter how death stalks you and your loved ones, the Resurrection promises you a future of immeasurable good. Josh McDowell

The Resurrection is at the core of our beliefs as Christians. Without it, our faith is meaningless. Joseph B. Wirthlin

The Resurrection miracle is nothing to you and me if it is only an event of eighteen centuries bygone. Unless we can live the immortal life – unless we can receive God to his own home in these hearts of ours – the texts are nothing to us unless these daily lives illustrate them. Edward Everett Hale

Now here are some more powerful sunrises and sunsets
I just love RAIN AND RAINBOWS. Who doesn’t? This week Cee has asked us to have some fun with Rain and rainbows and so here it goes. When you are done looking here click the underlined link and go see some more rain and rainbows over at Cee’s place.

Oily Puddle of rainbow goodness

This week The Daily Post has asked us to share pictures of our FAVORITE PLACES.
I thought this would be an easy one but oh my! Not so much. I love so many places for different reasons.

I think aside from my office my prayer room is the place where I spend the most time. It’s a place of reflection and divine connection, a place of vision and centering.
But I also love to travel and see things.
Disney is a favorite place to go and be pampered.
I love the antiquated beauty of The Netherlands.
I love the wild loneliness of Ireland.
I have so many places that are favorites for different reasons, but there is one place I have not yet been that I just know will surpass them all.

Here are some more favorite places.
This week we have been asked to SHOW EVERYONE WHAT WE WOULD RATHER BE DOING.
I love what I am doing right now…writing, and I do wish I could do more of it. That said I am not a very exciting person. I actually love to just sit and watch the world go by or pray through as it does. Here are some shots of where I would love to do that.

I could just sit and listen to the water fall for hours.

The quiet of a lake is an enticing place to pray, to write or to read.

You can forget the fast pace of life as the graceful mountains flow into the lake at Kylemore Abbey
This week The Daily Post has asked us to use pictures to tell a story.
Here is my story entitled: Dear Deer!
And here are some more wonderful stories.

This week the Daily Post has challenged us to display portraits of people that hide their features but still share something about them. Here is my series. I am entitling it ANONYMOUS KNOWN.
Click that link to join in the fun over at The Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge.

Now here are some others by others.
This week Cee has asked us to share in her Black & White Challenge by displaying PHOTOS OF STRUCTURE
Here are my Black & White Structures

All of the above are concrete structures. Now here are some structures that aren’t quite so concrete. The foundation of each of these is the strongest foundation of all…love.

Brothers and sisters

The structure of prayer

Built around a song

The structure of pride in a job well done.
