This week in her fun foto challenge, Cee has asked us to show her SHINY THINGS.

Here are some shiny things from my collection.

The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows,
turned back on the day of battle;
10 they did not keep God’s covenant
and refused to live by his law.
11 They forgot what he had done,
the wonders he had shown them.
12 He did miracles in the sight of their ancestors
in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan.
13 He divided the sea and led them through;
he made the water stand up like a wall.
14 He guided them with the cloud by day
and with light from the fire all night.
15 He split the rocks in the wilderness
and gave them water as abundant as the seas;
16 he brought streams out of a rocky crag
and made water flow down like rivers. Psalm 78: 9-16

Melanie Shared Here World questions on March 4th but I am just getting to SHARE MY WORLD TODAY.
If you want to see how other people answered Melanie’s questions please click the link above and it will take you to a whole world worth of sharing.
Here are Melanie’s questions and my answers:

What’s the first thing you notice about a person?
The atmosphere they create around themselves, that is at least when I am not so self absorbed I fail to feel any atmosphere other than my own
What three habits do you feel would improve someone’s life?
Prayer. Meditation (biblical meditation) and study.
What takes up too much of your time? Would you stop that if you could?
I still watch too much television. Now that said this is something I am working on though I am sure most people really close to me do not realize it yet.
Cookies (biscuits to those elsewhere), pastries, pie or cake? If not, what does your sweet tooth crave?
I love any desert, but especially those with cream in them.
Gratitude? Are You Happy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I am very grateful for a wonderful afternoon with our Special Touch Family (ministry with the disabled).

Special Touch Devotion

Our team built this wall during our devotion on Nehemiah

celebrating teamwork!

My prayer partners for altar time.

We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done.
5 He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our ancestors
to teach their children,
6 so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
7 Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds
but would keep his commands.
8 They would not be like their ancestors—
a stubborn and rebellious generation,
whose hearts were not loyal to God,
whose spirits were not faithful to him. Psalm 78:4-8
This week Cee has challenged us to show our MURALS in Black & White.
This was one of the harder challenges I have faced. As it turns out I don’t have a lot of murals in my collection.

This is a mural I captured on the train station wall in Haarlem in The Netherlands.

My people, hear my teaching;
listen to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth with a parable;
I will utter hidden things, things from of old—
3 things we have heard and known,
things our ancestors have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done.
5 He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our ancestors
to teach their children, Psalm 78:1-5
