It’s day 13 of our 21 days of fasting and prayer and we are still catching up with our meditations in 1 John. Today we are looking at 1 John 2:12-14 which reads….
I am writing to you, dear children,
because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
13 I am writing to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.
14 I write to you, dear children,
because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

| 1. Your sins are forgiven for His name’s sake, a foundational truth for all believers. | |
| 2. You have overcome the evil one through the power of God’s Word abiding in you. | |
| 3. Be strong in your faith; you know the one who is from the beginning. |
Thinking time:
- What do you think is the significance of Dear children, fathers and young men?
- Which of those three refers to you?
- What does it mean to have the word of God living in you?
