Marvelous pantry–I’m a trifle envious 🙂 My “pantry” is spread out through the 3 rooms of my apartment–after 23 years here, I’m convinced those who designed/built HUD properties didn’t think low-income folks would (or could) cook!
Yes that was a difficulty in my Aunt’s apartment. Storage was really hard to come by and the kitchen was tin-eee.
There are only 2 closets in my place–and one is only a half-closet, as the hot water heater is in there; and the bedroom one isn’t huge. Yep, tiny kitchen, insufficient cupboards–and most of them are up high, so I can’t use them. But, I’m grateful to have housing, of course.
Yes. It was the same with my aunt’s place. I think the nation must have one blueprint.
Also, my carpet was laid on cement–no padding (property was built in 1997, the year I moved in)…everyone who’s moved in since, gets padding. I wouldn’t mind, except if I drop something glass–like today–it’s a guaranteed break.
Yeah. They have updated the spaces since my Aunt moved in so they are all padded now.
