I miss the wild roses that bloomed by the last house I rented in Salt Lake. I could never get them to grow at the next house (which I had purchased), nor can I get them to grow up here. The conditions have to be ‘just right’ or they don’t flourish. I loved the scent, especially throughout the summer. It was intoxicating!
It is one of my favorite smells in late Spring early summer. I am glad that our soil and climate like roses (although the last few summers have been too wet for the French roses I have on the property).
