A Photom A Week: Opposite Weather Attracts

I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE RECENTLY.

I am excited to be back and with luck this will become a permanent part of my new blogging regiment (this is assuming my new blogging regimen survives the year).  Anyway this week I am doing it! Nancy has asked us to show an example of weather  which is the opposite of what we are receiving right now.

Here in Massachusetts the weather is cold and icy. So Florida in August should be about as opposite as you can get from this!

P{lease click the link in the first line of this post to see what Nancy’s other contributors are experiencing for opposite weather.

My Hiding Place

This show is gripping. Please consider having Brenda in to your church

When last we spoke, one of the things I told you was that Brenda was put on sabbatical after her conferences in August. Her leadership told her she needed to take off through the end of October. I was relieved because she was emotionally and spiritually exhausted (and anyone who has ever done the work of full time ministry knows how difficult spiritual exhaustion can be).

During her time away from the itineration trail Brenda sought spiritual guidance and spent a lot of time praying. The Lord led her during that time to write a one woman show based on the life of Corrie TenBoom one of the 20th century’s great heroes of the faith. Corrie Tenboom’s name rises to the level of Graham, Bon Hoeffer, Elliot and Mother Theresa.

That show is almost ready to go up. The first production will be on January 10th. I have sat through…

Mid Afternoon Meditation 1-3-20

I will set his hand over the sea,
    his right hand over the rivers.
26 He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father,
    my God, the Rock my Savior.’
27 And I will appoint him to be my firstborn,
    the most exalted of the kings of the earth.
28 I will maintain my love to him forever,
    and my covenant with him will never fail.
29 I will establish his line forever,
    his throne as long as the heavens endure. Psalm 89:25-29

What is the covenant God has made with and through Jesus?

Morning Direction From Scripture 1-3-20

I will set his hand over the sea,
    his right hand over the rivers.
26 He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father,
    my God, the Rock my Savior.’
27 And I will appoint him to be my firstborn,
    the most exalted of the kings of the earth.
28 I will maintain my love to him forever,
    and my covenant with him will never fail.
29 I will establish his line forever,
    his throne as long as the heavens endure. Psalm 89:25-29

OK so verse 25 does not sound like He is talking about King David anymore. Who do you think God is talking about here?

Evening Meditation 1-2-20

Once you spoke in a vision,
    to your faithful people you said:
“I have bestowed strength on a warrior;
    I have raised up a young man from among the people.
20 I have found David my servant;
    with my sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 My hand will sustain him;
    surely my arm will strengthen him.
22 The enemy will not get the better of him;
    the wicked will not oppress him.
23 I will crush his foes before him
    and strike down his adversaries.
24 My faithful love will be with him,
    and through my name his horn[f] will be exalted. Psalm 89:19-24

Why do you think evil keeps on trying to win when it is sure to lose in the end?
