No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7 It is God who judges:
He brings one down, he exalts another.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup
full of foaming wine mixed with spices;
he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
drink it down to its very dregs.
9 As for me, I will declare this forever;
I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10 who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.” Psalm 75: 6-10

You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
3 When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.[b]
4 To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.[c]
5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak so defiantly.’” Psalm 75: 2-5

Happy 2019 everyone! I missed Sharing My World with all of you last week. The job kept me away from all but quick posts. I started the new year with four funerals, three of them in daily progression. I have to say that was a first I never need to repeat again!
But here are this week’s questions from Melanie along with my answers. When you have finished with this posts check out the REST OF SHARE YOUR WORLD BY CLICKING HERE.
Melanie’s questions:
Did you have to help out with chores when you were growing up? If so, what were you assigned to do?
We did. We stacked wood (not very willingly but we did). and I fed the dog. Also when I was old enough (10 or so) I got a job first as a paperboy (136 papers a day) and then I started working in my father’s business as a dishwasher by the time I was fifteen.
Have you ever researched your family tree? What do you know about your family’s roots?
I know that my family has been in America since before the Revolution and that we have always lived in the New England area. I also know that men in my direct line have held my middle name for the last eight generations at least. My middle name, by the way, is Elon.
What’s your cure for hiccups?
Holding your breath until they are gone or until you pass out.
What makes you roll your eyes every time you hear it? Either figuratively or literally?
Lots of things. I am a master eye roller and God is working that out of me bit by bit. After all one of the seven deadly sins is “the haughty eye” which literally translated is the roll of the eye. Yikes!!!
Finally:
Share a gratitude or positive moment or experience from 2019 so far.

My granddaughter is beginning to test out her knees!
