Do not let the floodwaters engulf me
or the depths swallow me up
or the pit close its mouth over me.
16 Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love;
in your great mercy turn to me.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant;
answer me quickly, for I am in trouble.
18 Come near and rescue me;
deliver me because of my foes. Psalm 69:15-18

Lessons Learned
I won the battle against my greatest episode of depression a long time ago. Then, when it tried to return, I knew how to deal with it from experience. I am very grateful to Jesus who not only saved me but showed me such a powerful lesson when I needed it the most. “In our weakness His power is perfected” was often shared at that time but I never truly got it until later in life.
I no longer try to run or hide from the sadness and woe but rather I slow down and try to learn the lesson life has for me this time around. I see these times as growth and no longer a burden.
Praise God for the powerful testimony Donna!!
