A Word from my lead pastor.

It dawned on me the other day, as I was looking in the mirror, all of us in the western world have something in common. Every day we start off by – looking in the mirror. I know that is really deep. (note of sarcasm) But think with me if you will about the idea of looking in the mirror.

Mirror Image

  • The #1 reason we do it – to make sure that we look presentable based on someone else’s idea.
  • The #2 reason we do it – to make sure nothing is out of place based on someone else’s idea.
  • The #3 reason we do it – is to make sure that we look good to ourselves, again based on someone else’s idea.

All 3 of these reasons can be summed up with the word “Reflection”! We end up reflecting other people’s ideas – for sure at least in how we…

Mid Afternoon Meditation 10-18-17

The Lord gives the word,
    and a great army brings the good news.
12 Enemy kings and their armies flee,
    while the women of Israel divide the plunder.
13 Even those who lived among the sheepfolds found treasures—
    doves with wings of silver
    and feathers of gold.
14 The Almighty scattered the enemy kings
    like a blowing snowstorm on Mount Zalmon. Psalm 68:11-14

What’s the significance of the women dividing the plunder?
