You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
    God our Savior,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
    and of the farthest seas,
who formed the mountains by your power,
    having armed yourself with strength,
who stilled the roaring of the seas,
    the roaring of their waves,
    and the turmoil of the nations.
The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
    where morning dawns, where evening fades,
    you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65: 5-8

Describe some of the deeds God has done in your life which you consider righteous.

SHARE YOUR WORLD is a weekly challenge hosted by blogger Cee Neuner. In the challenge Cee asks 4 questions and as we answer them we all share our worlds. Click the link above to see the answers of the world. My answers are below.

What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?

I am not very hard to please. A perfect day is a day that is slow and quiet. It is a day where I can sit back and take some time to watch the world and contemplate its intricacies.

Here are some perfect day pics:

Complete this sentence: My favorite place in the whole world…..

is being in the center of God’s will.

Who was your best friend in elementary school (prior to age 12)?

I didn’t have a lot of friends as a little kid. Most of my attachments were temporary. I guess I would say…Eddie Murdock.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

After a week surrounded by much distraction and dissension in our little town, I thought about how I had watched my fellow Christians rise to the occasion with prayer and love in the midst of  anger swirling around us. I thought about the grace I had seen from certain leaders in our community including our new pastor. Then this word came to me in prayer.

The power of dissension lies in its focus on self. When we begin to empathize with and focus on others rather than self, dissension dissolves into unity even if disagreement remains.

That inspired me. Thank you Jesus!

Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion;
    to you our vows will be fulfilled.
You who answer prayer,
    to you all people will come.
When we were overwhelmed by sins,
    you forgave our transgressions.
Blessed are those you choose
    and bring near to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,
    of your holy temple. Psalm 65:1-4

Describe your view of God’s holy temple.
