Wow, that would be a long story–but the condensed version is that I had a slumber party in jr high with my only 2 girlfriends, Christians who attended a far different church than I. Putting it mildly, my church lacked “life”, so the whole Jesus-thing (salvation) was foreign to me; but when they invited me to their summer Bible camp, I was desperate for a break from home. It was a scary week to be sure–I accepted Jesus our of pure fear of hell… But that’s better than not at all, because He has all the time in the world to straighten out bad teaching and smooth our rough edges with Truth, Light, Love and His Grace. And I’m grateful beyond ability to describe, as life is hard–but without Him it’s impossible. Praising His Name Above All Names, LORD JESUS.
