The wicked draw their swords
and string their bows
to kill the poor and the oppressed,
to slaughter those who do right.
15 But their swords will stab their own hearts,
and their bows will be broken. Psalm 37:14,15

I used to take it as a very scary, harsh proposition–with resulting paralysis to hardly breathe. Now, while I believe there are consequences for our words/deeds–or lack there of–I focus on walking in grace. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom–so if I speak or act and it goes amiss, the world will not likely come to an end, and God will surely cover me; thus the consequences, or reaping, will probably not be so bad as I once feared.
I agree with you Stella and in grace even our reaping of negative results ultimately leads us to better places in light of Rom. 8:28.
YES, I LOVE Rom 8:28!!
