Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:8,9

I have to confess that there was a specific time in my life when I abandoned His commands, and I’ve paid a hard and ongoing price for that rebellion. I’m grateful for God’s grace, though, that He doesn’t let go of His wayward and largely ignorant children. When I caught the revelation, almost 6 yrs ago, of WHO He is and all that He wanted for me…it was BIG. Once I saw how much He loves me–with love that’s unfailing and everlasting and unconditional–all I wanted was to please Him. So now His commands are something I long to understand better as I walk out my faith, and obey. Knowing that He’ll never let me go–that He’s literally holding me–helps me grow stronger. And it’s a blessing to read His Word, and when I come to commands I find difficult, be able to say, “oh, mannn, I’m so not good at this, Lord”–and feel confident He won’t punish me, but just keep bringing me along, day by day.
I have learned over the years that the patience of God is new every morning along with His mercy as long as I keep taking it up. I am so grateful God never gives up on us. I am more thankful that He restores the years that the locusts have eaten. Like you I have not seen everything restored. There are even things I am absolutely sure can’t be restored in the natural and yet I stand on His promise that if He said it I will believe it. I am waiting to be astounded.
“Waiting to be astounded”–oh my, that is an excellent word for me today, Brother–thank you!!!!!
Most welcome.
