Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

All God has to do is speak a word, or merely breathe, and BIG things happen. He doesn’t have to say anything twice. And whatever He speaks or breathes is “Done”–it doesn’t slide back or change unless He speaks again. The power of His voice frightened the Bible folks–(some didn’t just stand back, or tremble, I think Daniel was knocked out flat)—which is why there was usually an angel on hand to say, “Fear not”. I’m glad He generally uses that still small (“inside”) voice when He speaks to me…although, sometimes maybe He should shout lest I confuse His directions…
I have come to love and appreciate the still small voice. Sometimes I know He speaks gently when He could easily yell. I am grateful for His patience and His voice which always speaks at the right time.
You’re so right–He’s a good Father who knows our hearts, that we don’t need to be yelled at when we’re being stupid…I already feel bad enough, so I appreciate His hugs and reassuring, “let’s move past that”.
Amen!
