No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Psalm 25:3
As you meditate on the word disgrace is it more an external or internal event?

No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Psalm 25:3
Internal… A feeling we’ve all have at some point in our lives. External… When it’s an act of someone else.
Good point I guess it can be both, but I do wonder how much of it particularly from the outside can be undone simply by shifting our attitude away from fear of man and onto fear of the Lord.
Truth be told that’s the only one which should really matter.
Indeed.
Should we “fear” the Lord?
Disgrace – I think is mostly internal, even if it is caused by external factors
I guess it depends on what you mean by fear. The Bible says in Proverbs “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. “. I think this is because it shows an understanding that God is beyond us in power strength and majesty and that fear rather than making us hide from or run away from God causes us to respect, worship and put ourselves in the pathway of the grace of God.
