Evening Meditation 8-16-16

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.

Psalm 22:1,2

What advice would you give to someone who feels forsaken by God?

  1. It is so hard to comfort someone in a way that they can really feel your compassion, love and empathy. Often times it comes across as those “banging gongs”. When possible I try to relate an experience from my own life to offer encouragement. That can be a challenge too, when going through a dark spell of my own – but that is also what keeps me pulled up close in His arms. Praise Him in the hallway – His light will shine upon us and we will find our way.

      • I just followed your page so they will come up in my reader. I appreciate the time you take to update daily.

      • Updating is always good. I’ve only blogged since January. I had personal reasons for wanting to change the url and start fresh so that’s what I am doing. I bought my domain so it no longer carries wordpress in it and I am add free (yay!). bday gift to me.
I pop on and off during my day at work when I take little breaks. The only time away I have from my office is if I dart out to pickup lunch. It is amazing how far our posts can go – I had days where there were readers from countries that don’t have easy access to God’s word. It may have only been one person, but I trust that one person spreads the word. It’s not about numbers to me but locations and sharing experiences that may help others learn to view different area’s of life in a more loving way. Lots of judgmental people out there, lots of folks who insist on using readings from the old testament against todays world, that’s not really what God is about. Gosh I am rambling. – 😉 Suffice it to say our pages matter. Update when you can or want and post when you can. When you can read others do – it will bring them back to your page. It’s not about numbers 😉 it’s all about *Him.
Have a blessed day – have to do p/r
