In my distress I called to the Lord;
    I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
    my cry came before him, into his ears.
The earth trembled and quaked,
    and the foundations of the mountains shook;
    they trembled because he was angry. Psalm 18:6,7

What is God angry about here? How does that make you feel?

Share Your World 2016 Week #29

It is time to Share My World Again. Since this week’s questions haven’t gone up yet and since I was on vacation last week and not blogging for a few days here are last week’s questions and my answers.

What is the perfect pizza?

The perfect pizza is BBQ chicken, But that is today. Yesterday I would have said Hawaiian.

What is your favorite time of day?

My favorite time of day is that hour just before sunrise when the streets are quiet and the world has yet to wake up.

Show us two of your favorites photographs?  The photos can be from anytime in your life span.  Explain why they are your favorite.

My favorite photos change almost as frequently as my idea of the perfect pizza. I will show you two of my newest favs and they are tied directly to an adventure I took with my daughter Amanda on Saturday.

The tardus was visiting Montague MA on the same day Amanda and I went on our latest Book Crawl.

Amanda and I love to go shopping for used books. It is such an adventure. This time I bought five to her one.

Complete this sentence:  I’m looking forward to….

The photography walk I am about to take out the new Northeast Walking Path.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I have been on vacation. I am looking forward to another full week of it!

Morning Direction From Scripture 7-25-16

I have been on a bit of a spiritual retreat these last days. I am back to writing but I am still spending a lot of time in prayer as I reevaluate for the future. As we begin let me ask, WHAT THINGS ARE YOU CONSIDERING CHANGING?

100_6296Our Scripture for the day is Psalm 18:4

The sorrows of death compassed me , and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

What is making you sad today?

Never Die

A must read.

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” (John 11:25-26)

Read: 1 Samuel 26:1-28:25, John 11:1-54, Psalm 117:1-2, Proverbs 15:22-23

Relate: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live…”

“That’s bull.” Jason thought. But then, when the preacher stopped and those closest to him turned to look in his direction, he realized that he had done more than think it. So he said it a bit louder and more clearly. “That’s bull. Carlie believed and she still looks dead to me.”

“Jason I’m…”

“No preacher, keep your false sympathy and your empty platitudes to yourself. It’s all bull. Believing in Jesus didn’t raise Carlie up. It didn’t protect her. Believing…
