hmmm – great question. The one that tries to drag me in is a gospel of works. The voice of the world preaches a moralistic gospel so often and so loud, and there is so much in the Bible that can be isolated and exploited to preach a gospel of weights and measures. It is so hard to shake it. I find my self thinking from a standpoint of law not grace so much of the time.
It is the basic lie from the fall – Adam and Eve ate of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil and were prevented to eat of the tree of life. This knowledge of good and evil is the tree of death.
I may just have to turn this into a blog post. – thanks for the inspiration Pastor J.
