The Love Of God Campaign

My sister Brenda is a missionary to the Netherlands. She is almost fully funded. Would you consider helping her finish out her funding campaign so she can get back to the ministry in Zaandam?

Directions From Morning Scripture 2-11-16

“In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.” Galatians 2:9

I KNOW THIS IS AN ASIDE FROM THE MAIN MESSAGE OF GALATIANS, BUT WHO WOULD GOD HAVE YOU TO ENCOURAGE TO KEEP GOING TODAY? MAYBE YOU SHOULD GIVE’EM A CALL OR DROP ‘EM A LINE!

Thankful Thursdays 2-11-16

One of my resolutions this year ( though it was a bit more organic than a  listed resolution) was to begin to use Lillie-Put more effectively to build a culture of praise and worship around myself.

To that end I have instituted several new postings throughout the week:

MAGNIFICATION MONDAYS

TEHILLAH TUESDAYS

WORSHIP WEDNESDAYS

THANKFUL THRURSDAYS

FAITH-FILLED FRIDAYS

SHOUTIN’ SATURDAYS

&

SACRED SUNDAYS

HERE IS MY CHOICE FOR THIS FIRST THANKFUL THURSDAY. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR THANKSGIVING SONG IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW.

Close Of Day Meditation 2-10-16

cropped-wpid-img_20151026_004832.jpg

The devotion I chose for this morning’s prayer team meeting at church was from Joel 2:12-13. It led me to ask the question, “What would God have you mourn for?

The private devotional I am reading is David Nasser’s, A Call To Die. Today I read Day 12, “Death…. and Your Good Clothes”. I underlined several phrases in the lesson but the one that caught my attention above all the others was this… “How do we decide what needs to be discarded and what needs to be worn? The answer is found in another question. What breaks the heart of God?” p.126

Two very similar questions. I think God would have us mourn for the things in this world which break His heart.

Tonight in Bible study we came up with a list of things which break His heart.

Human pride which keeps us from obeying God’s commands.

Our refusal to take the time to pray.

Life’s distractions that keep us from God’s presence.

Fear.

Unwillingness to let go of false security to embrace the only real security there is in life.

I think all of these break the heart of God. What would you add?

We All Wear Masks: Weekly Travel Theme

This week Ailsa has asked us to TAKE OFF OUR MASKS AND DISPLAY THEM FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.

Click the underlined link to see a world of masks at Ailsa’s site.

Here are mine with a few quotes thrown in for good measure:
