This post is written in response to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Circles & Curves
The challenge reminded me of that old Johnny Cash song “Will the Circle be Unbroken”
“Will The Circle Be Unbroken”
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw the hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. MA. 5:14-15
I said to the undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For this lady you are carrying
Lord I hate to see her go
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky
Oh, I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in the grave
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky
I went back home, the home was lonesome
Since my mother, she was gone
All my brothers and sisters crying
What a home so sad and alone
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky
We sang songs of childhood
Hymns of faith that made us strong
Ones that mother maybelle taught us
Hear the angels sing along
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky

Great photos and commentary!
Thank you Dawn!
Your Beneath the clock photo has me intrigued by all of the different angles in it. I like this one a lot!
Thanks that was taken from the tower of the Nieuwe Kirk in Delft. It was a hard shot to get because I was up about 500 feet standing on a 2 foot wide catwalk! I was so dizzy.
Oh, my gosh, Pastor J, dizzy and on a ledge that’s not good! Although, I do want to say thank you, God for protecting Pastor J while he took this shot. I mean just look at it, what an amazing shot it was, don’t you think?
He did protect me!

Great circle pics.
What an enormous comfort it is, when farewelling loved ones, to know that we will meet again!
By the same token, what an incentive to prayer, while they are still living, to ensure they know Christ!
