Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Houses

cees-fun-foto

Hey everyone! This week’s Fun Foto Challenge from Cee at :http://www.ceephotography.com/ is all about HOUSES!

I think houses are expressions of their inhabitants. A family’s emotional vapor sinks into wood and stone and shines out through the windows of the place it lives. We maybe can’t know everything about a person from their home but we can know something of them.

“It didn't matter how big our house was; it mattered that there was love in it.” ― Peter Buffett, Life Is What You Make It: Find Your Own Path to Fulfillment

“Your house shall be not an anchor but a mast It shall not be a glistening film that covers a wound, but an eyelid that guards the eye.” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

“The Gingerbread House has four walls, a roof, a door, a window, and a chimney. It is decorated with many sweet culinary delights on the outside. But on the inside there is nothing—only the bare gingerbread walls. It is not a real house—not until you decide to add a Gingerbread Room. That’s when the stories can move in. They will stay in residence for as long as you abstain from taking the first gingerbread bite.” ― Vera Nazarian, The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration

What does your house say?

  1. I don’t know that my house says anything. When I first saw it I thought it was ugly but I quickly changed my mind and fell in love with it as soon as my foot touched the front step. Standing at the front door, a visitor would be blind not to see our connection with Jesus and I hope that any visitor would very quickly feel HIS love toward them through us. Once inside, anyone would have to notice the importance of family, as there are many, m-a-n-y family photos everywhere. (Yes, I know they have to be dusted!)
