Sunday Post: Unforgettable

WATER SNAKE 2013

I know I am a few days off with this post but that seems to be the order of the last week…lateness. Still,  this was a great challenge I couldn’t pass up. I Hope you enjoy it. If you want to check out other unforgettable posts go to:

37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. John 6:37-39 NIV

15 Can a mother forget her nursing child?

Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?

But even if that were possible,

I would not forget you!

16See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.

Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.

17Soon your descendants will come back,

and all who are trying to destroy you will go away. Isa. 49:15-17 NLT

It is so comforting to know that no matter how the world views me my God thinks of me as unforgettable! He can’t get me out of His mind because He is crazy in love with me. In fact God is crazy in love with everyone on the planet, but He has a special place in His heart for those who have chosen to love Him back.  Jesus went so far as to say that God had given His human lovers to Jesus so that He could save them and keep them safe from the powers of death and Hell.

Paul the apostle wrote in Romans that the blessings extended to Israel had been passed on to Gentiles who put their faith in God’s son Jesus Christ (Romans 9-11). That means the promise “I will not forget you.” in Isaiah applies to Christians everywhere! It also means that all those who try to destroy us will ultimately be defeated by God Himself.

So Let’s try in the midst of all life hands us to make these promises unforgettable.

  1. As I read this post my heart longs for His return more and more. I feel as though my heart is going to explode for I know in my heart of hearts His return is nearer than most think. “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” Oh, how I wait with such anticipation!

  2. Our minds cannot possibly comprehend the love of God . . . but praise Him we can and do experience the REALITY of His love and care for us.

We serve an incredibly amazing God who loves us with an EVERLASTING love.
